Both of these were from July 20th...

So purchases in the PlayNC store do count towards the bonus mission pack.

It is a bit confusing. Has the policy changed? If so, how? Which of these statements is true? Gaile, if you could clear this up, that would be great.

And IF it HAS changed, must the entire amount be spent in one store, or could it be split across the 2?

But yes I would just use the ingame online store since it seems simpler

you could easily refer to the ingame store as PlayNC cause it is.

Every time someone calls a mission a mish, god kills a kitten.

In that case, I'm so excited for these new mishes coming out. I really hope the mishes are released earlier in November rather than later, as later-release bonus mishes would herald with them quite an unpleasant wait. Also, I'm looking forward to the Eye of the North mishes.

And when someone says q9 instead of req.9 God kills a bunny.

I think Gaile might have thought you were talking about the Online Store and didn't distinguish between the PlayNC and GW Online Stores. It's an easy mistake to make.

Well this sux if it's true cuz I was on guildwars.com yesterday morning and saw the link to purchase the pre-release bonus pack and it took me to the plaync store and thats where I purchased it. Geeze, I thought the PlayNC Store was the same as the in game store.

It shouldn't really matter where you bought the PBP (plaync or in game). Someone should have coded the the online game codes to reflect the purchase whether it be plaync store or in game so that you rightfully get the credit towards the $29.

Gaile, please give us the heads up on this!

I would assume the policy has not changed and that it was a slip up by Gaile.

But yeah....a clarification by Gaile is definitely needed now.

We are just now finalizing (or finalising for some ) details about how we can accommodate purchases made in either the in-game or PlayNC stores, so as to give credit for the purchase of the GW:EN Prerelease Bonus Pack and the game, as well. Or actually, any purchase past the required amount spent (in dollars, pounds, or euros), so that players can acquire the Bonus Mission Pack.

We have not formalized this process, but yes, purchases in either the in-game or PlayNC store will be credited towards the BMP. And yes, jammerpa, this is retroactive to the start of the promotion. I'm just writing up messaging to send to our global community teams, so that they can share this happy news, too. We're not ready for the formal announcement, but this will be happening and I'm happy to share that with you informally now.

I don't know of any plans to do that. It's a bonus in the fall timeframe. Whether sales or marketing decides to offer it for sale later, I just don't know. I can say that I feel sure it wouldn't be offered for sale right away, if at all.

Sorry I don't know more!

Thank you very much for the clarification. I was looking through the chat log and was surprised(pleasently) to see the PlayNC purchases gave credit for the BMP. Then when I later looked through the wiki, I became confused. Thanks again for unmuddying the waters.

Just one thing I would like to know:
Is the criteria accumulative, or not?

Will lots of purchases (that total $29) during the period give players the Mission Pack, or does the money have to be spent in a SINGLE purchase?

Yep, that's another edit I'm going to do--already did in a draft--because it is cumulative. You can spend $10 here, $5 there. As long as it adds up to the required amount, say $29, by October 31st, you've got the BMP on your account, automatically.

So if I understand it right then, past purchases from the store will not count towards the bonus missions, and you have to buy during a specific period of time (which is when- November, or is that just the release and deadline for getting it?)
